PAFRA Spot Landing Good Friday 2012
An earlier Spot landing day
Over 20 entrants for this years spot landing competition at Rochester.
An early start at 09:55 saw the first of the days competitors take off into clear blue skies and undertake the first of the three landings that would be judged for the closest to the line. The line , as usual marked by cones and a wiggly flour trail was put along runway 34 earlier on during the morning while the Hot Cross buns, the PAFRA - Rochester Airport Spot Landing Shield and the Easter eggs were displayed , courtesy of Skytrek on their veranda.

At 12:30, after the line judge had analysed all the results, the winner was announced. This was Eddie Hatcher in G-MFHI a long term resident at Rochester and, I'm pleased to say , a returning member of PAFRA.
Second was Andrew Reid in G-BSLA
and third closest was David Wynne in G-CEPX a Skytrek 152. Interestingly David's father, Michael, won first prize last year.
So next year why not have a go too and get your name on the shield.
