On the 4th of October, Rochester Airport played host to the 2009 PFA Young Eagles day where 35 ATC cadets + a few others were able to experience flying in a variety of different aircraft. For many of them it was their first experience of taking to the skies and their smiles said it all.

The day would not have happened without the generosity of the Pilots both from the Local Strut of the LAA and also from PAFRA, giving their time and their aircraft to take the youngsters flying.
Everyone involved really appreciated what they did, as without them no one would have been able to go flying. Thanks must also go to the Airport staff for accommodating the event.
